Weekend Shop & Café Assistant

We are looking for a new team member to join our team on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
We are a small and friendly team, who take pride in our work, creating an approachable and friendly atmosphere for customers and team members alike.
​
We are looking to hire either one person to cover both days, or would accept 2 separate people (one for each day). Please let us know your availability when applying.
​
Suitable for ages 16+. This job would be perfect for a young worker whilst still in education, or somebody looking for weekend hours.
Saturday Hours: 10 - 5 (30 min unpaid lunchbreak)
Sunday Hours: 12 - 4 (4 hours, no break)
​
What the role entails:
- Helping with customer enquiries and shop service throughout the day.
- Taking café orders and putting payments through the till.
- Drinks service – making hot chocolates, coffees etc. Training will be provided.
- Clearing tables in the cafe, and helping wash up crockery.
- Helping to maintain a clean & tidy shop front.
- Restocking the shelves, and keeping the shop front looking tidy.
- Helping with chocolate packaging tasks when required.
- Other reasonable duties involved in the running of the shop/café.

​- To be friendly and approachable to customers.
- To have a strong work ethic, and take pride in providing a great service.
- To enjoy working within a small team.
- To be a reliable team member who is happy to get stuck in with various tasks during the day, with a good 'what can I do to help the team' attitude.
- Have a passion for good chocolate!

Starting wage dependent on experience and age

There may be scope for some additional hours during the week on occasion if interested. Weekday availability is not required though.
